Green Smoothie
Mint, Basil, Betel, Coriander, Spinach leaves are a good source of anti-oxidants. They are also a good source of chlorophyll which is known to promote the process of healing in human body. A combination of different varieties of leaves makes this smoothie even more nutritious. The cucumber helps to tone down the pungent flavour of the greens. This is an extremely easy to prepare, natural and refreshing drink.
Ingredients:
Cucumber – 1 medium sized (100 gms), cut
Mint Leaves – ¼ cup
Basil / Tulsi Leaves – ¼ cup, chopped
Betel Leaves – ¼ cup, chopped
Coriander / Spinach – ¼ cup, chopped
Lime – 1
Rock salt – 1 pinch
Method:
Thoroughly wash all the green leaves and add them along with the cucumber to the blender. Grind and make a fine paste. Add 1 cup of water to dilute it. Do not strain. Add a dash of lime and a pinch of rock salt and stir. Your green smoothie is ready.
