Nandita Das’ Zwigato earns a spot at the Academy of Motion Picture (Oscar) Library


Nandita Das’ directorial Zwigato has earned a spot at the Academy of Motion Picture (Oscar) Library for its screenplay. Das wrote the script along with Samir Patil. The screenplay has been invited to be a part of the permanent core collection of the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

The film received critical acclaim and as a part of the Library will provide valuable resources to aspiring students, filmmakers, and writers. The film looks into the lives of gig economy workers and the food app service industry and its effect on the working class.  

The film starred Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami. Zwigato, produced by Applause Entertainment was released in theatres on March 17 this year.
