Spiced Paneer | Oil Free | Protein Rich | Healthy Recipe

Spiced Paneer is a delicious recipe. Paneer is a high biological protein. It is a powerhouse of all the nine essential amino acids our body requires. Proteins present in the paneer act as building blocks for our cells and help in the recovery and growth of the muscles.

It is also a good source of selenium and potassium. Selenium is beneficial in treating infertility problems, and potassium is good for the nervous system. Other than these, paneer nutrition also contains calcium required for stronger bones. A combination of all of this makes the Spiced Paneer Recipe a healthy choice

Spiced Paneer can be a part of your stir fry, paneer pulao or paneer paratha.

Ingredients:
  • Milk – 3 Litres
  • Vinegar – 2 Tablespoon
  • Coarsely Crushed Coriander seeds – 1 Teaspoon
  • Coarsely Crushed Cumin seeds – 1 Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder – 1 Teaspoon
  • Chilli Flakes – 1 Teaspoon
  • Mint Leaves – 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt – ½ Teaspoon
Method:
  1. In a large vessel take milk. Stir and get the milk to boil. Make sure not to burn the bottom of the vessel.
  2. Once the milk comes to a boil, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper, and chili flakes. Mix well and boil for a minute to absorb all the flavours.
  3. Add vinegar and stir the milk. When the milk starts to curdle, add more vinegar as required so that water & milk solids separate completely.
  4. Further, add mint and coriander & mix well.
  5. Drain off the curdled milk over cheesecloth. Wash with cold water and remove off the water. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Shape the paneer into a block, and keep a heavy object over it. Rest for 20 minutes or until the paneer sets ultimately.
  7. Once the cottage cheese has been set well it is ready to cut.

Finally, store the masala paneer in an airtight container and use it for a week when refrigerated.
