Starting from the Belgian GP on the 28th of August, Sundararam (more popularly known as @f1statsguru) and Soumil will co-host live race watchalongs on PayTM Insider!
Joining them will be Steve Slater, the former Formula 1 commentator for Fox / Star Sports. With over two decades of experience of being in the paddock and commentating on Grands Prix, Steve is one of the most well-remembered Formula 1 commentators from the past, making his return to speaking about Formula 1 in the first time in nearly a decade!
What can you expect from the watchalong?
Starting 15 minutes prior to the ‘Five Red Lights Illuminating’ and ending at around a similar time after the podium ceremony, the watchalong offers you the chance to interact with Steve, Sundaram and Soumil in real-time, discussing the race as it unfolds while taking part in polls, quizzes and other fun games.
During the watchalong, Steve will have the chance to answer all your questions, not just about the race at hand, but about all things Formula 1. Expect tons of banter, insightful stats and fascinating anecdotes, as you always can with Steve!
In the latest episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, we had Steve on to share some of his favourite driver silly season stories, including the infamous Schumacher controversy back in 1991, Jenson Button’s best mistake ever and his thoughts on the ‘Piasco’ or the Oscar Piastri saga!
